Meet Tara. Tara has this dress that she wore to her brothers wedding some years back. Tara is heading off to her Year 12 formal in a few weeks and needs a new dress. Can we make this old dress into some thing gorgeous and new. Yes we can! Yes, I think we can?
Can this dress become the one on the pattern sleeve? Well not entirely. There is just not enough fabric to pull off that skirt, but I'll do my best.
Capri captures the moment I cut in. I managed to cut the dress out only by the skin of my teeth. It was challenging finding grain and keeping everything cut in the same direction, but I had fun. Much more fun than getting a pile of fabric and a pattern.
Bronte and I voted Tara "Classic Beauty" from a wide field of short and long and over the top dresses.
