Been inspired by my friend Diane to do a little doodling. I have always love doodling.
Doodling is a great word isn't it? Doodling, Doodling Doodling.
OK, so mine might be more accurately described as a strange lame mixed media. Whatever.
I had some paint left over from touching up my feature wall (which now I have decided to paint over completely) and put my word 'JOY' in the middle of an old cash book page. i found a moment to just play. You can just see the beautiful detail of the book under the page. We do not make books like this anymore.
I added James 1:2. Consider it pure JOY dear brothers when you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish it's work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything
Hindsight helps you to appreciate this verses a little more. If you can reflect back on a difficult season or circumstance and see the richness of what God has taught you about yourself and Himself, you can write joy into the picture. It helps to give you a different perspective about a new trial. Purpose for the trial. You can trust that God is faithful, that He is able to do more than we would ever ask or image. I love that he wants to give us 'hope' that a trial can be more than just a trial. It is interwoven with joy that He is making us more like His son JESUS.

I'm glad you were inspired by me :)
Love the Winnie The Pooh sticker - it reminds me of the olden days. I still have stuff from then too. No WTP stickers though :(
