Road Trip Story -4- in the van.

One of the last things we packed before we left was these little Fisher Price animals. I am so thankful that we did as Capri had such a good time lining them up here, there and everywhere. The fridge being the trickiest for us :)
Capri then spotted a FP castle at a Thrift shop in Woomera on her birthday. Bronte bought it for her for all of $3 including a bag of accessories that went with it and a farm yard we had at home. Awesome purchase. What we didn't know was that the flag, when pressed trumpeted for royalty. We had to restrict the presenting of the Princess and the Darlin' (the King) to keep our sanity in such a small space.
Here is our bedroom - well really it is just a queen size mattress, surrounded by storage of interesting sorts and a curtain. I hung the poster (scrapbook page enlargement) next to Paul's side of the bed. Initially to hide a yukky patched piece of wall but also thought it would be a good idea to have what LOVE IS in my man's face just incase he was getting a little bit over caravanning. Not sure if he needed it or used it but other than a few brief moments he LOVED ME WELL :)

 The kitchen.
I cooked most nights and even if I do say so myself, we ate pretty well. Our eating out was not overly successful, except we did have an awesome Indian meal in Adelaide. It was called the Banana Leaf and the guy was very proud of his wife who had opened it. He mentioned that it is sometimes called 'Curry on Currey' as Currey is the name of the street they are on. We can't for the life of us work out why THAT isn't the name of the shop.
The thing I found hardest was having so many supplies under the seats. Trying to remember what you had AND where was pretty tricky.

 Visiting the neighbours.
Capri made this quite a pass time, particularly towards the end of the trip. She would travel back and forth between the vans to visit. On one occasion she asked me if I had any carrots. I put two in a bag and sent them back with her thinking that our neighbours were making good use of the courier. Later that night Peta asked me, what the carrots were about. So it turns out Capri was just doing her own strange  thing.

The hedges are a lot of work but they look beautiful & give character to the home.
Glad to see Ace spending more time at home (perhaps he has sown his wild oats & is ready to settle down)
