Last week Paul was at Coffs Harbour for a Zone meeting and when I spoke to him on Thursday he said "I put my boots on this morning for the last time". Well certainly the last time for a while, as today marked the first day of six months long service leave (at half pay). So I took these pics, just in case he decides not to go back. Today we packed up his uniform (several boxes of it) and stuck it on the top shelf in the wardrobe. No one needs to be reminded of work when they don't need to go.
Paul is also taking three weeks leave from council while we travel overseas, and this could possibly be his last council meeting as the powers that be are amalgamating Armidale, Gyra and Uralla councils. All councillors will get the sack and be replaced by an administrator. When exactly no one knows. Figured I better take a photo in case I missed the opportunity to record this season.
