Monday the 20th saw us in Sydney for an appointment with the ortho specialist. we arrived to a full waiting room at 10.20 and a need for coffee. So after asking the receptionist if there was going to be a wait, which there was, we headed around the corner for coffee. We had no longer sat down than realised that we had an emergency nappy situation on our hands. Thankfully there was the two of us BUT that did not stop the ......poo. You can't imagine how thankful we were that this harness was coming off VERY shortly. Good timing Capri.
Anywho... when we did sit back to enjoy that coffee we were so pleased to see Paul's Mum and Dad, who were looking for us - we saved them the trouble and found them, kind of. Well after the aloted 2o mins we went back into the waiting room to wait for an hour. We spent the time well catching up and teaching Dad how to put Capri to sleep in the pram over the bump in the carpet :)
Now in brief
*she has a moderate dysplasia
*she has to be in the Pavlik for 3 weeks non stop (yes, no bath) up to the 10th Nov
*she has been measured for the Dennis Brown splint that will be fitted on the same day and on for 6 months (hopefully less BUT preparing for whatever)
*she smiles when anyone tries to dislocate her hip - interesting girl, obviously not painful
After organising our next visit and several appointments (ultrasound, orthotics and specialist) we meet Christine and kids plus Bronte (who did school with the cousins during the morning)at Parramatta Park for lunch. NICE. We then walked up to see Paul's Grandma who is now in Mayflower.
A big day that was thankfully not as hot as the previous day - arriving to 34 when it had probably been about 14 when we left home was a shock.
