we have issues!!

Once upon a time - we would lay this little one in her cot after a quick cuddle and song, and then she went to sleep - end of story.
This is no longer the story.
What happened you may ask.
Here is the story.
After returning from Vanuatu and a short stay in Sydney, we found ourselves responsible for a very out of sorts Capri. Every time we lay her down she screamed, she was difficult to get off in our arms and then still had a fit when we attempted to lay her in the cot. If left in the cot Capri took desperate measures to get herself out. All we heard was a thud. Paul decided to sit off her room and see how she was managing to get out. He did not need to wait long before her saw her lean over the edge and place her hands along a bar and pull hand over hand until her legs flipped up and she dropped head first onto the floor. Paul was horrified (not easy to do) and stated "That can not happen again". That afternoon we had an appointment with the doctor, here we discovered that she had two ear infections. That explained the WHY but didn't really help with a solution to her climbing out.
Here begins the next chapter of her life - a BIG bed.
I had only been saying to Lyndall a few days previous that I would be happy for her stay in the cot until she didn't fit any more. How quickly things change.
So now we find ourselves with some serious issues.
How do you get a small girl to stay in her BIG bed?
What does it feel like to have a full nights sleep?
What will we try next?
Why has she forgotten how to go to sleep all by herself?
Facing the death of the day sleep - unless in the car.
This is one sad story.
Lucky she's sweet.
