Last weekend we had a wonderful time with our Gourlay extended family. April 17-18.HIGHLIGHTS
* Worshipping God together as a family on Sunday morning - just the best!
* We had a long Saturday arvo pampering session - Capri even enjoyed having some cream massaged into her hands and feet, plus a shoulder massage from Pa. She lapped it up.
We left red nail polish on the carpet : [ Oh, dear!!
* Cam took the boat out and Bronte nearly got up on the wake board. Next time babe.
* Paul and Pete were wrestling every time you saw them
* Bronte tried to avoid being kissed or hugged by anyone :) Jenny busted through though.
* Capri had a horrid nigh on Saturday, ended up finally asleep in my bed. First ever.
* Laura worked very hard at being Capri's friend. She had a head start at Avoca and made excellent progress. Always easier when I am not present.
* We had glorious weather.
* Emma shared a powerful nugget on Sunday morning in regards to some stuff God had been teaching her. That even though in life we go through the fire (suffering, struggles, trials etc) we don't have to smell of smoke (be left with bitterness, fear, indifference, whatever). It is this fact that will show others the difference that God makes in our lives.
Daniel 3: 26b
So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, and the sataps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. Thet saw that the fire had not harmed there bodies, nor was a hair on their head singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no small of fire on them.
Nebuchadnezzar's response was "Praise be to their God"
Emma had also been encouraged by the scripture that talks of the fact that God does not allow you to go through anything that you can't handle (with Him).
1 Corintians 10: 13
