easter

We were all so glad to have Stu, Lyndall, Georgia, Bethany and Joel here for Easter. When you arrive at Lagoon Homestead you never know what you might find. Sometimes your hosts are well prepared and have gone the extra mile, sometimes you might need to ask for a towel, rarely do you need to make your own bed. Stu entered his room and new exactly what had happened in there. An hour previous Paul was on a hunt for a small girl, because all was very quiet (it is amazing how loud quiet can be), he had checked all the rooms and could not find her. On his second mission he spotted some hair poking just over Stu and Lyndall's bed, and he soon discovered why it was SO quiet. Capri had debelled and unwrapped Stu's Lindt bunny and was happily eating away. Mother had thought that since Capri had not had an Easter egg/bunny before that these wee ones were safe, alas not. I left the foil remnants, ribbon and bell to tell the tale, thankfully Stu saw the funny side.
Other Easter activities.
We went met the Hoholts' at NERAM for Coffee.
The kids had a hoot in the tree house.
Met up with Stevos', Hoholts', Aunts and Uncle at Dumaresq Dam.
Treasure hunt at the Dam.
Played lots of croquet. Boys so serious, girl had to cheat - not that it helped.
Watched two strange movies The Atonement and Across the Universe
All Harmer's involved in Sundays service.
Mansley's popped in for a cuppa and a little cake to celebrate Phil's birthday.
Kids enjoyed the ride on mower (the tractor)
Wouldn't be right if I didn't mention my cooking weekend. Capri has been a terrible fruit and veggie eater of late and this mother has got a little desperate. I borrowed a book from Lauren called Deceptively Delicious. Only problem was not all were in agreement over the books claims. Kids began to ask "are there any hidden goodies in THIS? OK, fair call, spinach puree does not belong in a chocolate brownie :) I will be making it again for Capri as she is 'cake girl' and this is a sure fire way to get some serious goodness into her.
