I last made placemats in 1996 and although I set out to make 6, only 5 got finished. The last one was a step by step sample for the magazine and never found its way to the table.
In March this year I made a set of 2 placemats for the magazine and I promised myself that I would finish 6 others before the other 2 came back giving me a full set of 8 for my table. I was beginning to get a little worried that it just was not going to happen BUT as June was deemed the "sewing" month it made the list and Ta Da they are done. Hand sewing always slows the process.
So out with the old and in with the new.
I will be waiting for the other 2 for a while yet.
