Now you may be wondering what a photo of mowing and the word thankful are doing together.
Have you ever done anything "out of character"???
Saturday November 1 I got the urge to mow, this has never happened before to my knowledge. I kept thinking.... why??? it makes no sense BUT the urge was strong. I put on some workers and went outside where Paul was in the process of doing the weekly mowing. He had been given fore warning at lunch. He gave the run down and then suggested that it would be easier if he did the outside lap. So there I was waiting at the end of the driveway for my mower to return and wondering all over again WHY i was wanting to dothis - on his return he informed me that the gully under the tree was tricky and that he would do that too. So more waiting and questioning - really it would be much easier for Paul if he just did it himself.
BUT my turn did come.
I took off at maximum speed only to have to slow down straight away to go under a tree, the ground was uneven the steering irratic and my amusement great. I laughed the whole way around the first lap and had tears running down my face - THIS was better than any amusement ride - THIS was exhilarating.
SO I am thankful for the strange desire (maybe a God whisper) to mow.
Thankful for the unexpected FUN.
