I recently received two new to me, cup saucer plate sets. These are not just any cup saucer and plates - they belonged to my great grandmothers. My Auntie Jean was recently simplifying her possessions and handed these beauties on to me.
Both sets are from my Mum's side of the family. The navy blue set with gold belonged to my Grandma's mother, the turquoise set belonged to my Grandpa's mother. I love having a little bit of family history in my home. We used both of these last Friday for a ladies dessert and coffee night which was nice. I used the navy one, only problem is it doesn't hold much so you need to keep the refills happening :)
