It was lovely to have been with Bev and Harold as they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. I have had a few laughs over the weekend as they revealed how different they are - with quite differnt intersts etc. Last night I asked "what things do you have in common?" Mum just laughed.....paused......, and said "nothing". Dad wrapped his arm around her and said "but we do love each other". Mum pointed out that they do say - opposites atract. Well, whatever the story, we are glad that you love each other and that you have made 45 years together. So congratulations, you are a wonderful example to your family and friends.
PS. This was the first time that I have not had to ask Dad to smile for the picture. He must be a very happily married man.
