GO-ing places

Last Friday Paul had the day off, which was great seeings as it coincided with our church camp at the coast. Life is too short to be ruled by school, so Bronte got the day off and away we went. This is one of our favourite drives, the country side is amazingly lush and beautiful.First stop was Dorrigo and a visit to Misty Threads (patchwork shop) that has not been open on other trips through. Paul has mellowed over the years and instead of fighting it, is amazingly gracious.

Next stop was GO Carting at Raliegh (Rally) where we paid for 11 laps each for Paul and Bronte. They came in after 5 laps and Paul asked if I would like a GO. It looked like a hoot, so I jumped into the gear and took to the track. This turned out to be a good decision because I was much fairer competition for Bronte who over took me on the first lap and soon had the back sliding out on her cart. Her father was very proud. Mother stayed a little more controlled but had a great time.
From here we went up the coast to Sawtell and had a yummy lunch, Mum even made a great spur of the minute decision on a summer blouse.

Next stop was Nambucca Heads - just because. Bronte was keen to get her feet wet but Capri NOT. Love this picture, this girl has great stomach muscles. It didn't take to long and the sand became acceptable and the water very attractive. A wet and dirty rear end meant a change of clothes before we took off again.
